A gun sights are the optical devices that are used on firearms to allow the user to aim the weapon. Gun sights can be broken down into two categories: telescopic sights and fixed sights. Telescopic sights use a lens and a mirror to enlarge an image of what is seen on the target so that the user can see the target more clearly. Fixed sights use a ring or other type of sighting device to help the user aim the weapon.
